==*Why is a white-looking, Japanese-born guy in Seoul?*==

Honestly, it was the first place Masato randomly thought of when he considered a different city for his brand to branch out. Forget Tokyo! The financial and emotional support from his Korean friends helped as well. Besides, he needed to get as far away from his dad's disapproving look as possible. Seoul was trendy, hip, and the streetwear scene had picked up considerably in recent years. Granted, his Korean still had a **long** way to go, but with enough help, he could succeed.

The inhuman-friendly version of his story is that he wanted to be as close as to the mystical, well-known Sungmo Academy. Potions had helped him out in the past and, given the coven's reputation, Masato is still holding out for news of a werewolf cure.

In recent months, he's realized that he is truly enjoying his time in Seoul, living in the capital among close friends as well as an honorary member of a well-established wolf pack led by Kim Youngwoo.

==*How the hell is he supposed to get by without a job?*==

Through his connections, he was able to secure a gig as a part-time tattoo artist in a friend's studio. As a kid, Masato enjoyed drawing his favorite anime characters and he continued to draw throughout the years, tweaking his work to fit the designs suitable for the skin. He loves being able to flex his creativity although his supernatural ability and main job prevent him from committing to it full-time.

However, Masato might be due for an occupational upgrade. An irresistible job offer from the influential owner of Fanciful Florals is about to change his financial status for the better.

==_Who is he... really?_==

Born to the Hayakawas on December 17, 1986, Masato grew up a relatively normal kid. Sure, there was a lot of bullying for him to endure in his childhood and adolescence, due to his mixed heritage, but he worked through his issues to become a fully-functioning adult. He divides his time equally between Japan and South Korea for family and work — sometimes even the USA to visit his older brother — but he enjoys himself no matter where he is in the world.

Every month during the full moon, he voluntarily reverts to his supernatural state, in the safety and comfort of thick forests and far from the human population. However, as a human that was turned during the Oak Moon, his werewolf form is as harmless as his human form, and Masato spends his nights wandering the forest and protecting beings who need any.

==_When did the terrible incident happen?_==

His twenty-fifth birthday hiking trip was meant to be a special one. Who could have expected him to end up with a chunk ripped out of his right calf in the middle of the hike? Fortunately, the nearest hospital wasn't far from the base camp (read: close enough for him to make it) and his injury was treated and wrapped up before he had lost too much blood. While he recuperated in the hospital ward over the next few weeks, Masato constantly battled high fever, night terrors, and his wound alternated between itching and burning greatly. Strangely, by the time he was to be discharged, the wound had all but healed and he felt immensely better.

Little did he know that his life was about to drastically change.

==_What do his family and friends think of his "new" self?_==

His older brother was the first to know and witness Masato's initial half-transformation since it first happened in the former's Seattle apartment. His parents, fortunately, remain oblivious and Masato's move to Seoul was to keep them in the dark about his secret identity.

Only his inner circle is aware of his other self — some of them possessing otherworldly abilities of their own. Presently, he doesn't have problems remaining in hiding as he appears very normal.
